Consultancy for European Funds for Briquetting and Pelletizing Lines

EUROPEAN AND NATIONAL FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

In order to access European and national funds for the acquisition of briquetting and/or pelletizing lines, you should consider the following aspects:

  1. The type of raw material to be used must be established, based on which the production line will be configured, as line configurations differ depending on the raw material.

    These raw material types include:

    • wood waste, sawdust, pallets, energy willow, etc.
    • plant residues resulting from harvesting: straw, rapeseed and corn stalks, soybeans, beans, etc.
    • fodder – alfalfa, hay, cereals, etc.
  2. Please note that for fuel pellets it is recommended to use only clean sawdust, without tree bark. Pellets made from plant residues should only be used in boilers with mobile or self-cleaning burners. Straw pellets can also be used as animal bedding.

The fields of activity that must be authorized with the Trade Register (ONRC) for briquetting, pelletizing, and granulation activities depend on the raw material and the final product obtained:

CAEN 1629 – Manufacture of other wood products; manufacture of articles of cork, straw, and plaiting materials (production of briquettes and pellets from all categories of raw materials, except fodder)
CAEN 3821 – Treatment and disposal of non-hazardous waste (production of briquettes and pellets from all categories of raw materials, except fodder)
CAEN 1091 – Manufacture of prepared feeds for farm animals (production of feed granules for animal nutrition)
Almost all European-funded project calls consider activities under CAEN 1629 or 3821 as eligible
